As you can see, the comic is how I see Barnaby's relationship with Kotetsu: a "one-sided non-romantic love."

The prompt on the anon meme was Kotetsu taking Barnaby on a "date" to the opera, preferably Madame Butterfly. I'm unfortunately not classy enough to follow opera (don't even ask me to recognize any opera songs, go ask Barnaby for that ;>), but I saw parallels between the opera and T&B. If you don't know the story of the opera, I strongly STRONGLY encourage you to go to wikipedia and read the synopsis. It's long, but worth it.

For research, I watched the Madame Butterfly movie. Then my parents started to ask me why all of a sudden I became interested in opera. Then my dad suggested that it's because it takes place in Japan, and I'm like, "...uh no."

I felt my last T&B doujin was severely lacking black and had too much gray, so I went all out with the black in this doujin XD.

Or should I say, Father's Night? *bricked*

The moire effect was intentional, because I kinda liked the weird textured look of it (btw, I drew most of this on A4 canvas on SAI). But why the screentones are appearing darker than I imagined, I'm not sure--they looked fine on Photoshop *I am such a noob on the technical aspects of comicking*

Now is the good time to sob over the fact that I need to paint the water. And the flowers.

Since genderbendered Kotetsu and Barnaby seem to pop out everywhere, I decided to draw them genderbendered too, because I am so original -__-.

My friend and I went to the barbecue right outside of dorm, since there were rubber ducky painting and scratchboard art. My friend painted a ~fabulous~ ducky, while I originally wanted to paint Frankenstein ducky before deciding that painting took too long and drew mustaches instead.

I actually forgot that I was participating in the FE anthology until the email came yesterday (or the day before, I forget). OTL GAIZ ;A;

So to atone for my forgetfulness, I started working on an FE pic yesterday. I've always wanted to do an Ophelia-inspired picture. Even though I didn't pay attention in lit class read Hamlet, the paintings of Ophelia floating in the water strike my fancy.

Rest assured, I am alive and well though incredibly distracted by the wonders of tumblr. I'm still drawing, though my output isn't that terrific (then again, I'm a slow drawer).

Currently I'm dabbling in superhero comics, though I'm still lost about general superhero continuity, but thankfully Wikipedia exists XD. Why superhero comics? I have a confession...I started dabbling in comics because some of them are hoott this is totally a legit reason, stfu. I'm also currently fangirling over the show "Tiger and Bunny", even though it's only two episodes so far (it has so much bromance potential, don't judge me).

And lastly, I end this post with a song. It's from Buck-Tick's Razzle Dazzle tour DVD, and the song is one of their old ones. I actually don't like the original version, but this new arrangement is "holy-crap-this-is-mindblowingly-awesome" terrific, and it's also all kinds of sexy.

I keep thinking this is a "tango" rearrangement, but I youtubed some tango songs and noted they sounded a lot different from this song. Regardless, I HAVE to draw a picture for this rearrangement because it's just so hnnnngh.

I'm playing Ephraim's route on hard, and chapter 12 of that chapter aSLDKFJALDFALKDJF RAAAAAEEEEGGG.
I must've restarted that chapter a million times already because my units kept dying from ninja monster attacks *flips finger at the fog.* Also, a lot of my units are skill-screwed for some odd reason. Time for me to take a FE break (worked for chapter 9 of FE4. After a few months of not playing it, I beat that chapter)

Anyway, I bring another WIP! This time of a hooker chick reclining on a sofa, or what's supposed to be a sofa.
